Position Description
We are currently seeking a Plant Manager to manage the daily activities of the plant at one or more locations within assigned Region, ensuring that areas are kept within regulatory and safety compliance and operating productively and profitably; providing leadership within the locations as assigned.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Ensures that entire plant is within regulatory compliance, including transfer stations, trucking domiciles, office and support facilities within the plant operation.
Manages database to include annual permit renewals, accident and workers compensation records, OSHA 200 logs, etc. Performs period facility, safety and OSHA audits ensuring the safety of all plant personnel. Establishes and maintains effective contact with state and local regulatory contacts and coordinates inspection and customer environmental tours.
Ensures continual improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation.
Provides financial forecasting and regularly analyzes on-plan expense performance in order to meet the overall cost objectives of the plant.
Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. Performs periodic customer service field audits to ensure that Stericycle is meeting expected level of customer service.
Establishes production employee work scheduling and processes plant payroll in a timely and efficient manner.
Initiates actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices. Trains production and maintenance employees, when necessary.
Ensures adequate level of supplies and equipment and purchases supplies and equipment, when needed.
Strong Maintenance acumen, including but not limited to the following areas:
oMaintain equipment files, maintain inventory, and manage the expeditious purchase and/or re-supply of components as necessary to complete assigned projects.
oPower Wiring - Must know 3-phase theory and wiring techniques including troubleshooting, component replacement, and motor wiring. Must know general wiring techniques for 110V system.
oAir Pneumatics - Must have experience with general air pneumatics, including air compressor operation and maintenance, regulator replacement, solenoid valve replacement, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, and general system troubleshooting.
oHydraulics - Must know how to maintain a hydraulic system including cylinder seal repair, cylinder replacement, bushing replacements (usually by outside machine shop), hose-crimper operation (includes matching hose to fitting), fluid maintenance including filter change out, hydraulic pump replacement, valve stack repair and maintenance, fitting specification, and general troubleshooting and adjustments. Must be able to read a hydraulic flow diagram.
oMachining and Welding - Must be familiar with the use of all power tools associated with metal machining, including power drills, chop saws, reciprocating saw, grinder, and pneumatic hammers. Must be able to use soldering/brazing torches, and acetylene torches for cutting steel. Must be able to operate a stick welder to fuse carbon steel and perform repairs; ability to weld stainless steel or higher alloys or operate a TIG welder are pluses.
oCapable of performing all maintenance functions
oUnderstanding of boilers, maintenance and associated programs related to the efficient operation of boilers. Must possess basic understanding of PLC's. Ability to troubleshoot and complete programming as required on a variety of legacy systems, preferred but not required.
oBasic understanding of waste water systems, pumps and associated equipment including maintenance and preventative maintenance to ensure optimum performance of the system.
Provide leadership to all-shift operations crew. Ensure their compliance with the District Manager's directives on Environmental Safety and Health, permit compliance, customer service, productivity, cost reduction, care of equipment, housekeeping, and paperwork completion.
Position Requirements
oEducation equivalent to an Associate's Degree or the equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or the equivalent in related work experience.
oThree or more years of experience, demonstrating the ability to manage people in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating the ability to provide safe and regulatory compliant work conditions for all employees.
oDemonstrates the ability to learn regulations, including, but not limited to EPA, DOT, and OSHA standards and codes as they apply to the waste industry.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
