Abraxas Academy is located minutes off of Exit 298 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Berks County and provides detention and treatment services for court committed youth.

Paid TrainingAdvancement Opportunities In this role, you will:
Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees as soon as they arrive at the facilityDirect visitors to the appropriate person and officeAnswer, screen and forward incoming phone callsEnsure reception area is tidy and presentableProvide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/emailReceive, sort and distribute mail and/or deliveriesMaintain office and facility security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxingMinimum Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and minimum one (1) year office relatedexperience.

Qualifications:
At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
Valid driver's license from employee's state of residence.
Valid registered vehicle insurance.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
