is a state-of-the-art skin care and make-up contract manufacturing company with vision, expertise and flexibility.
PhytogenX has Quality Line Lead positions available Monday through Friday on first shift 6:
15 am to 2:
45pm.
Primary Job Duties:
Ensures Company's SOP, cGMP and PPE policies are adhered to.
Inspects equipment used on the production line for cleanliness and operation.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
Ensures the product at every stage throughout fill production, assembly and packaging meets quality standards.
Key roles of a Production Line Lead are; Ensures the line she/he is responsible for has the proper and needed equipment set for such run.
Communicates with the Maintenance Department when equipment is out of specification.
Verifies that the components, packaging materials and bulk provided for a production run are accurate and of the proper quantities.
Reviews BOM (Bill Of Material) prior to start of job and addresses any issues or concerns.
Assigns adequate staffing to respective line tasks, as outline in the BOM.
Monitor production flow on the line, troubleshoot issues, recommends and institute line improvements and direct the line associates Maintains/Records detailed and complete documentation/Information of all jobs such as; number of employees, quantities of components used, bulk and product weight, excess waste, product packaged and ready to be shipped, etc.
Monitors the progress of each job and reports the number of units produced and production line efficiencies to production manager or designee (Efficiency boards).
Assigns production staff to perform line clearance at the completion of each production run.
Inspects the production line and equipment for cleanliness prior to the start of production and fills out respective documentation.
Ensures unused components, packaging materials and bulk is removed from the area and placed back into inventory before running the next job.
Ensures all rejected components, waste and trash is removed from production line.
Reconciles quantities of components, packaging materials and finished product upon completion of a job.
Documents reconciliations Communicates with Sales/Customer Service, Warehouse, Maintenance and the Production Manager if problems arise.
Closes jobs and ensures the finished goods are palletized and sent to storage within the standards.
Requirements to Perform Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Good communication skills in English and Spanish.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of production equipment.
Computer literate to be able to execute packaging jobs thru a computerized system.
Basic math skills including adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Time management skills, and multitasking ability.
Prior experience in production or manufacturing.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Reliable, dependable, excellent attendance and willing to work hours required.
Line Leads should show up to 30 minutes before the start of the shift to prepare for the day, and stay 30 minutes later after the end of the shift to close any pending activities.
Qualifications.
High school diploma or GED minimum.
Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, packaging instructions and customer documents.
May be required to speak before groups of employees and customers.
Bi-lingual; Preferably.
Must be able to pass a basic math test if requested.
Ability to apply safety, quality and practical business sense to resolve production issues that may arise during daily production.
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
