The Plant Trainer will conduct new team member orientation, training and coordination of continued new team member training on the shop floor. Provide training to existing employees in regard to safety and quality, as it pertains to manufacturing processes. Assist with 5-S / Lean Manufacturing training and implementation. Assist the training team and plant leadership to determine areas where additional training is required. Assist with development of training manuals and training schedules. When not actively training, may be required to support production based on manufacturing experience/expertise and manufacturing needs.


  • Conduct New Team Member Orientation
  • Conduct New Team Member training
  • Conduct 5-S training
  • Conduct Lean manufacturing training
  • Conduct Safety and Quality training
  • Conduct any other training as needed
  • Assist with 5-S and Lean implementation
  • When involved with New Team Member Orientation, Plant Trainer will be on the floor assisting team members with understanding work orders, blue prints, work instructions, etc., as needed
  • Prepare PPE for New Team Member Orientation
  • Assist the Plant Organization and Development Specialist as needed.
  • Assist the Plant Organization and Development Coordinator as needed.
  • Collect training data, feedback, surveys of the training processes and needs.
  • Other duties as required
  • Must have reliable transportation.

    • Computer skills or the ability/willingness to learn computer-based systems
    • College degree or equivalent experience
    • Experience in the implementation and training of:
      • Manufacturing processes
      • Truck bodybuilding would be desirable
      • 5-S principles
      • Lean manufacturing principles
      • Continuous Improvement principles

    Safety is paramount on any Morgan operation. The Plant Trainer is expected to be familiar with the company's safety program and enforce the safety policy always. Never walk past an unsafe act.


    This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment.
    While performing the duties of this job, the Plant Trainer is regularly required to:
    • Be able to stand for up to 8 - 10 hours per day.
    • Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
    • Be able to carry up to 35 lbs.
    • Be able to handle mechanical stress/pressure when operating tools (drills, rivet guns, etc.) up to 22 lbs/in 2 .
    • Be able to push/pull up to 35 lbs.
    • Be able to flex wrist numerous times during a 60 minute period.
    • Be able to apply pressure (squeeze) on triggers numerous times during a 60 minute period.
    • Be able to bend several times during a 60 minute period.
    • Be able to kneel several times during a 60 minute period.
    • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
    • Be able to climb onto panels several times during a 60 minute period.
    • Be able to work in uncontrolled (hot/cold) climates.
    • Be able to talk, hear and see.
    • The employee may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces).
    • Have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.
    • The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to high.

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
