Vehicle Description 1935 Ford Tudor For consignment, a 1935 Ford Tudor, (two door!), which is the beneficiary of a frame off restoration with a new front end, custom bodywork, an alligator style front hood, custom chrome bumpers and a Bill Lang interior which aired as Extreme Makeover-Car Edition. An excellent restored and slightly rodded edition for your enjoyment and the taking. Proceed to the main showroom! Exterior Some shaving, reconfiguring of shapes, chopping, and that alligator hood this beauty is now bathed in two tone Dupont black with a Champagne top. A lime green hand painted pinstripe is delineating the two tones. A 1936 Ford donated its headlights and these flank a blackened shield style grille which has a nicely curved split chromed bumper on either side. Curvaceous fenders gracefully surround American Racing polished Torque Thrust wheels and are met in the center below the drivers and passenger's doors with a running board. Handle-less doors are now on poppers and on back some custom taillights are neatly melted into the roll pan. A big rectangular exhaust peeks out from in between these custom red lights. Interior Plenty of WOW factor here, with a swing of the doors and what to our wondering eyes does appear other than smooth tan vinyl stitched around a textured brown broadcloth insert with embossed panels. We're goin' in and we take a seat on 1 of 2 beautiful buckets which have broadcloth inserts and smooth beige vinyl bolsters, backs and headrests. Tan carpeting floods the floors. Above a banjo style steering wheel on an adjustable column fronts a custom dash. This includes a black painted metal dash front with white faced Classic Instrument gauges. Below is a tan vinyl strip which houses the knobs and pulls and vintage air and heat. In the center of the dash is another white faced cluster of 4 gauges for extra monitoring of the vitals. In back is an amazing amount of foot room, and a nicely matching to the front buckets rear bench. It is just mint condition inside this car and even smells like new. Drivetrain Under the alligator hood, is a snazzy modern 350ci V8 ca.1969-1979. It's all polished with a large oval air cleaner cover with some airbrushing and chrome spear artwork on it. Underneath is a 4bbl Holley carburetor atop an Edelbrock polished intake. On the back is a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission which throws torque rearward to a Ford 9-inch pumpkin. A very nice engine bay presentationDrum roll please Undercarriage Featuring a lowered Heidts Mustang II style front end and suspension along with some power disc brakes, we are in a rust free, nicely textured undercoated in black environment. Very sound and structural tubular steel make up the framing for those pristine floor pans. Throw in a dual stainless steel exhaust in Flowmaster config and let's get ready to rumble (can I use that!?) Drive-Ability Just load of fun with this custom build on the test track. Handles like it's on rails and accelerated nearly endlessly with that 4-barrel Holley. Bias free panic stopping, and smooth shifting and I could not ask for anything else. All functions were working just swimmingly. Right out of 1935 and resurrected of the previous restoration from yore that was left to deteriorate in a field, then picked up by our consigner who took this
by the horns and made this beautiful two tone creation. Enjoy!!
