Body panels also show extensive invasive rust on the lower portions of this van around wheel wells, and on rockers.
Surface rust is also on this truck on various surfaces, window surrounds, grille, bumpers and hood.
A large side door which slides, allows easy access to the cargo area.
In the back, dual doors open up for even more access from the back.
15-inch steel wheels which also have plenty of surface rust are on with only 1 wheel cover remaining.
Interior 2 plaid cloth insert low back buckets are in front, and these have smooth blue vinyl bolsters.
They present very dirty and have several tears and rips.
The original dash is still there, and it has wood applique.
In back, an open cargo area now has some metal post shelving installed from floor to ceiling.
Noted, the bed of the cargo area has extensive surface rust and in one corner invasive rust taking over.
Door panels are all original and painted in blue.
Drivetrain Within the passenger compartment is a 350ci V8.
It is topped with a 4-barrel carburetor and has a TH400 3-speed automatic on the back.
For the 1-ton version you get a 14 bolt 3.
73 geared rear axle.
Undercarriage Underneath the extensive surface rust continues and is on all surfaces.
Rockers have begun to rust through on either side while the floor pans and frame are still structurally sound.
Independent coil springs are for the front suspension, and leaf springs for the rear.
Power disc brakes for the front, and power drums for the back.
Drive-ability While this van does start, run and drive our test drive was cut short due to a sticking throttle cable and an extremely soft brake pedal.
An extensive project for the ambitious restorer, or just use as is but it will need some wrenching to get it up and running.
