Vehicle Description 1994 Chevrolet Corvette When Dave McLellan replaced Zora Arkus-Duntov as the chief engineer for Team Corvette, he had some legendary shoes to fill.
Assuming control in 1975, McLellan led the brand through some of the darkest days of Detroit performance.
By 1983, change was on the horizon and at the forefront of that change was the highly evolved fourth-generation Corvette.
With timeless looks, cutting-edge technology and storied small block power, the long-awaited C4 was destined to be viewed as a major milestone in American sports car history.
For consignment, a black 1994 Chevrolet Corvette.
This car comes to us in good condition.
3 owners in its history, it presents very clean on exterior and interior aspects, and of course displays the typical performance expected from a Corvette.
Exterior Sculpted fiberglass panels form the shape of this iconic car design that has aged gracefully through the transformation process of the evolution on the C4 version.
At the front its deep black body, a clean combination of halogen running lamps and amber turn signals frame a stamped Corvette tag panel that shows a few faults.
Above that tag panel, a long hood, which mimics the cowl induction units found on classic Chevrolets, features a faded black Corvette emblem that's complete with a mix of crossed flags and a Chevy bowtie.
At the sides of that emblem, the car's profile carries the same coke bottle shape of older Corvettes, except sculpted with the experience due to years of aerodynamic knowledge.
Embedded in that knowledge, a ring of body-color trim perfectly complements clear cornering lamps, traditional Corvette gills, a beltline black trimming, satin black door handles and body-matched mirrors.
Inside those mirrors, original, lightly tinted glass reflects a small center high mount stop lamp and faded and clouded targa roof.
At the back of the car's body, four trademark Corvette tail lights frame a broad CORVETTE script, vertical reverse lamps and original, square exhaust tips.
Some dry rotting is present on the door, top and window surrounds of the rubber.
Paint is chipping off the passenger rear quarter just below the greenhouse rear glass.
The rear bumper has wear off of the paint, and overall it shows slight patina on the bodywork.
Interior Black leather combines with black molded plastic to form the sculpted door panels.
Here toggle for the mirror, and a power switch for the front glass is noted.
Smooth leather seats in high back bucket form are inside and have a stitched badge in their aero one piece headrests.
A central console races past the seats, and is also in black, housing the window toggles, seat adjustments and shift lever.
As it rises to the center dash, an extensive push button sound system is seen and it has AM/FM/CD capabilities.
Temp control buttons are next and just above the large screen info center.
Controls for this screen are stage left just behind the driver's wheel.
The gauges are front and center, with an orange LCD speed and fuel readout and a cascade of gauges to its right, and a semicircular corresponding to the cascade on the right tachometer.
The leather covered wheel has a turn signal stalk that also has controls for cruise control.
In the back is a large carpeted storage area which remains clean and mostly fade free.
Drivetrain Lifting the entire front end forward, reveals the 5.
7L LT-1 mill capable of producing 300hp.
It has EFI and is backed by a 4-speed 700R4 automatic tranny.
A 2.
73 limited slip rear axle is on this car.
Undercarriage Plenty of rust free stamped steel floor pans and cast aluminum suspension parts which do show some corrosion are underneath.
C4 suspension provides the handling and ride, and power disc braking is all around.
Drive-Ability Wonderful leather grabs you as you enter, and this car performed well on the test track.
No problems and the consignor states a fresh oil change has been performed, new PA emissions and inspection, and a new brake booster bring this car to a halt quickly.
A nice example of a '94 screamer, greenhouse glass, leather interior with a digital peppering of gauges and readouts, and some paint issues but overall a good solid car, ready for plenty more sporting miles.
