For Sale: 2009 Dodge Challenger in Morgantown, Pennsylvania for sale in Morgantown, PA
Vehicle Description 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T When it comes to pony cars, as was the Challenger's first outing, it wasn't early on the scene.
In fact, it was one of the last pony cars of the Detroit Three to roll onto the scene and yet its lateness didn't make it any less awesome.
The 426 HEMI engine, dubbed the Elephant Motor, powered the Challenger, as did the smaller 225ci Slant Six.
The powertrain simply blew people away and made the Challenger not only rise, but beat most challenges.
Though this version lasted just five years from 1970-74, it remains one of the most powerful debuts in the automotive world.
For consignment, a very nice 2009 Challenger RT in a throwback shade of Bright Blue Metallic, otherwise known as B5 Blue.
A 38,994 title verified actual mile car, which our consignor bought in October of 2021 and has since only put 1,400 ticks on the clock.
This example has had all recalls performed, and as our consignor states, this is the closest you can get to the 70's Challengers without dropping 6 figures on a Hemi equipped car and is now a standout in our Hallowed Halls of Classic Auto Mall.
Exterior Cared for through the years and lightly used as a reliable driver, the paint on this R/T is wonderfully shiny with only a few minor chips, but otherwise we see smooth metal all minding their gaps.
Bathed in Bright Blue Metallic, B5 Blue for the old skool kewl guys, with a black front chin spoiler hanging underneath the menacing black grille with just a hint of chrome, and a dual bumped ram air style hood with chrome Hemi callouts leads back to the heavily raked windshield.
Moving down the slab sides from the front quarters are dual matte black RT stripes that gently grow as they move rearward, culminating in RT callouts on the mid rear quarters.
With a body matching integrated front bumper, this car retains a beautiful aerodynamic form.
Matching sport mirrors on either side, and a small Bright Blue spoiler on the trunk lid, and we are ready to make some smoke.
Big 20-inch polished 5-spoke wheels and medium low-profile rubber are on all 4 corners.
A blue wolf, poised and ready to pounce on any who cross it at the Eden we call the drag strip.
Interior Smooth charcoal leather for the bolsters with tuck and roll black leather inserts and blue stitching covers the front buckets and rear bench.
These seats are in good condition, with no stains, drips or errors, but do have some age folds and light wear on the drivers left bolster.
Ergonomically placed dash instruments, controls and steering wheel allow anyone of any size to get comfortable.
All the interior is shades of faux carbon fiber and black, and just a stunning combination to go with the exterior blue.
Comfort abounds in biblical proportions in the form of heated leather front seats, a power moonroof, and 4 round white faced gauges that face the driver.
In the center of the dash is the factory installed AM/FM/CD Sirius capable U-Connect stereo and heater/A/C knobs.
A black console dressed with faux carbon fiber races back from under the dash and holds the chrome Mopar performance automatic shifter with manual shift mode as well as cup holders and an armrest/storage bin.
Drivetrain Lifting the retro throwback designed hood we are met with a B5 Blue painted engine bay holding within a 5.
7 Liter Hemi V8.
This small elephant is capable of making 375hp.
Power is sent to the rear axle by a 5-speed automatic W5A580 transmission.
Speaking of the rear axle, it is of the independent variety and weighs in with a 3.
06 ratio.
Keeping with the mileage, the engine bay remains very clean with glossy paint and little to no patina.
Undercarriage Looking the part to match the miles, this undercarriage remains clean with only minor surface rust and patina.
No rust, just straight structurally strong steel, power disc brakes all around, and independent coil spring front suspension and independent 5 link on the rear are noted.
The factory installed OEM dual exhaust is on for the big exhale from this elephant.
Drive-Ability This car lights right up upon turning the key and will go at any speed you want it to.
It runs very smoothly, and even has an economy mode when cruising along to save on fuel.
Handles great and is overall a comfortable ride.
