1 of 14
Vehicle Description 1971 MG Midget The name Midget was first used by MG in 1929 ascribed to the M Type, this being MG's first baby sports car based on the then newly released Morris Minor.
Then came the first of the T Type Midgets, the TA in late 1936, culminating with the TF model of 1954.
The modern MG Midget is a small two-seater sports car produced by MG from 1961 to 1979.
It revived a name that had been used on earlier models.
If you have an affinity for British sports cars and love working with your hands, we may have just the consignment for you.
We present a 1971 MG Midget that has been nearly fully disassembled, is missing parts, but has the ability to be a blank canvas for your dreams.
Oh and being on a pallet makes it easy to load onto your trailer or even into the bed of your truck.
NO TITLE OR VIN PLATE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY Exterior Just the fact ma'am, and keep it small since I had a big lunch at McDonaldsInvasive rust is making an appearance on the lower rear quarter panels, wheel lips, and rockers but nothing that can't be rectified and brought back up to snuff.
The doors, although small and easy to overlook, are nowhere to be seen and the top assembly has suffered the same fate.
Both front fenders, in primer and fairly straight, are resting overtop the engine bay and the hood is covering the cockpit.
Up front, the vertical barred grille remains with its surrounding support and lower valance panel.
A green trunk lidis out back and still attached, we also note the the windshield, although dirty, is present and accounted for.
Interior A quick peek in the interior reveals a plethora of parts from this car.
We note the rear axle, aforementioned hood, the previously thought missing doors and at least one tail light.
We also note the starter, steering rack and the banjo style steering wheel laying on the floor.
Drivetrain Stripped of its heart and supporting organs, a blank canvas awaits you.
But not before the invasive rust on the firewall and bulkhead is remedied.
Undercarriage While unable to be viewed from our lift, and not wanting to give our insurance underwriter a pulmonary embolism we refrained from lifting the palleted car in the air with our forklift.
Let's assume the worst and hope for the best.
A disassembledproject left for dead.
While many of the parts appear to be present and accounted for, a true inventory is needed to see what all you will require to bring this baby corner carver back to life.
